"Gymnastics"

This winter, we've started going to Preschool Open Gym at Fairlands Athletic Complex. It's a real gymnastics training facility near our house, so usually it's only open to real gymnasts, but on Mondays they open it up to kids up to age 6 for an hour. It's basically a huge, cushion covered indoor playground, and the boys love it! A great indoor activity in the winter. We've been going with Zubas and some other friends from church.
Sorry some of the pictures are a little blurry. I guess the lighting messed up my camera shots somehow. I'm not very good at photography. :)

Gideon's "Lessons"

Gideon has taken to carrying his Gideon Bible collection everywhere with him (he has 5 of them), and he often wants to "lesson you" from them. This could be a story, a song, and very occasionally a memory verse he's learning. Maybe he'll be taking after his Grandpa someday.

If the video does not play try opening the individual page to the right called "Gideon's "lessons". Hope that works for our faithful followers of Annie and Kelsey. Thank-you Management.

Indoor play in Winter

Yes, indoor picnics and camping is fun, but I can't wait to get these boys outside!!

Blizzard 2010 Part II

We have officially broken the record for the most snow in a single season for our area! This morning was spent digging out from yesterday's blizzard. It was nice to get out after being cooped up all day yesterday, when the winds were way too strong to go out. We probably got another 8 inches or so here. Hard to tell, since it was blown around so much.
The picture above was taken after last Wednesday's snow. I put it in to contrast with this snow. Notice only my boots are covered in the top picture, as compared to the one taken this morning where the snow is above my knees! Needless to say, Joel got a much shorter sleigh ride because Mommy got tired alot quicker!

(This pic is actually from the Zuba's street on Sunday)

a great workout!

Gideon has loved learning to make snow angels

The wall of snow at Zuba Nation after shoveling in preparation for the Super Bowl party on Sunday. (note: taken BEFORE the latest storm)

We have some great icicles. Kelsey and I actually knocked alot of them down yesterday because he was worried about the weight of them all. Of course, we have new ones today!

The grill is actually under there

Blizzard February 2010

The first three pictures are from the about 3 inches of snow that closed schools Wednesday.

The remaining pictures are from the February 5 & 6th blizzard.

There is a canoe, picnic table, and a grill in the above picture.

We spent a great Friday night at Zubanation, but the car did not make it all the way back to our house. We were able able to clear an parking area and get it to the curb.

Check out the new room! I guess the snow storm of December 19th, 2009 was just a practice run for this snow.
