Gideons first day of school

Gideon went to his first day of school today.  He is in a class of nine students that meets once a week, then through the week we home school him to review the previous weeks lesson.

Butterfly Field Trip

This past week, we went to the butterfly exhibit at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton. We went with the Waterhouses, Zubas and Colemans. The exhibit was excellent, and the kids loved it. After taking in the butterflies, we walked around the rest of the Gardens, which are always beautiful. The azaleas are the most magnificent right now. All in all, a great day!

Grammy and Grandpa's new home!

We took our first road trip in our new van, over Kelsey's spring break, to visit Grammy and Grandpa in their new home in Lancaster, OH.

Here you can see Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Grimm's house right across the street! Joel loved going over to "play" the piano. :)

This picture shows the back of the house, with the cool upstairs porch.

We hiked up Mount Pleasant, and took in the views of the city.

On our anniversary, we took a lovely walk downtown and had lunch at Shaw's. The food was great, and they bring you cinnamon rolls before your meal! (mmm...)

We also had an egg hunt in the yard for Gideon, Joel and James. James was more into it than Joel was and tried his best to get Joel more involved!

Rosenfelder Fun-Fest!

We had a wonderful week with lots of excitement! Dave, Melanie and Sully flew in from Washington State Friday night. The same evening, Mike, Eileen, Aubin, Hank and Ella drove up from Raleigh. We had to pack a lot of things in during the few days we had. These pictures are mainly from Sunday, when we had a big gathering at Mom and Dad's house and the Egg Hunt, and from Monday at the National Zoo. I realized that 90% of the pictures are of the kids, so I threw in a few of as many of the adults as I could find, even if it was standing around. :) There is a series of the "Up Up and Away" game the guys invented with the kids' hoppers- they are grown, but still so easily amused! Anyway, the kids are the cutest and most fun to photograph!
